If you are not a motorsport fan, these dates still matter because the Guia Circuit uses normal public roads. Barriers, closures, altered traffic patterns and event crowds change how parts of the peninsula work.

2026 dates and what is confirmed

The current window is Thursday 19 November to Sunday 22 November 2026. FIA announcements confirm the FIA Formula Regional World Cup and FIA Formula 4 World Cup during the 73rd Grand Prix, and the FIA GT World Cup is also scheduled for the same weekend.

Hotel demand can be stronger around major events, so compare live rates early. A hotel that looks physically close to the circuit may still have a complicated walking route once barriers and controlled crossings are in place.

The Macao Grand Prix Museum works year-round

If your dates miss the race, the Macao Grand Prix Museum is the obvious alternative. Its official 2026 information lists 10:00–18:00, last admission 17:30, closed Tuesdays, subject to special-date openings. It is at Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes No. 431.

A sensible Grand Prix day

  1. Check the official race timetable the night before.
  2. Leave earlier than on a normal sightseeing day.
  3. Expect venue security and carry only what the rules permit.
  4. Build food and toilet breaks around session gaps.
  5. After racing, let the first transport surge clear if your schedule allows.
